Solution
In this project, we chose a Contrinex inductive sensor, which has a high frequency, and by adding a small dot on the shaft, we were able to get a pulse from the sensor in every 360-degree rotation of the shaft.
Then, we connected the sensor to a pulse meter from Autonics brand and now we were able to see the speed per minute on the pulse meter display.
Now we needed to convert the 4 to 20 milliamp output of the pulse meter to 0 to 10 volts; for this, we used a signal converter from Datexel brand from Italy, and by adjusting the dip switches, we got the output from 40 to 20 milliamperes to 0-10 volts without any voltage drop. Then, with the help of an Autonics voltmeter display, we displayed the output of 0 to 10 volts on the second panel, which was located near the PLC device.
Also, in this project, we used an Autonics power supply to provide proper power to the Datexel signal converter.
