Client Request
The client has requested a 3x3 meter booth that is soundproof and temperature-controlled, suitable for use as a two-person meeting room or telephone booth, as well as a reception room in large spaces.
Challenges
• Developing a fully metallic structure to meet soundproofing and thermal insulation requirements.
• Identifying suitable protectors to be placed between the inner and outer layers of gypsum board.
• Designing a sliding, fully glass front space.
• Meeting the height requirements of the booth while also keeping it elevated from the surface.
• Incorporating a portable AC cooler while maintaining the booth's aesthetic appeal.
• Developing a smart system to control lighting, AC, humidity, and water leakage
Solution
To meet the client's request, the "Phone Booth" Project was designed as a fully metallic structure with outer and inner layers made of gypsum board. To meet soundproofing and thermal insulation requirements, suitable protectors were placed between the layers. The front space was designed to be fully glass and sliding, while the container floor was covered with a carpet, keeping the booth elevated from the surface. To maintain the booth's aesthetic appeal, a portable AC cooler was incorporated. A Fibaro smart system was utilized to control lighting, AC, humidity, and water leakage.
