Client Request
The client requested the development of a sensor system to control the water dispensing valve for five units, with the ability to detect the presence of a hand or container and turn on the UV light of the dispenser simultaneously.
Challenges

Solution
The FSE automation team developed a sensor system using an AUTONICS BRQM400-DDTA optical sensor, a Meanwell 24-volt power supply, and a relay. The sensor system is designed to detect the presence of a hand or container and send a command to the electric valve to open the solid valve, while also turning on the UV light of the dispenser. Custom holders were made for the sensors to fit each dispenser unit. The system was designed to be durable and suitable for use in a water dispenser. The project was completed within the tight deadline of three days.
