Client Request
The client requested the installation of sensors on carriers to move bridge structures and to trigger tower lights when the structures come close to obstacles.
Challenges
•Finding the appropriate sensors that can accurately detect the distance between the carriers and the obstacles.
•Ensuring that the tower lights are visible enough and can be seen from a distance.
•Implementing a reliable system that can accurately detect obstacles while not causing any false alarms.
Solution
The Future Sky team used 9 AUTONICS BX700-DFR sensors and 2 Q-LIGHT tower lights to address the client's request. The sensors were placed in two groups of 4 and 5 on the carriers, and the tower lights were mounted on the carriers as well. The system is designed to command the tower lights and sound the alarm when the bridge structures come within 50 cm of an obstacle. The Future Sky team was responsible for all wiring, design, and on-site support during installation.
