Client Request
Client Request: The client requested a coffee shop to be created within a 20-foot cargo container, including a glass side, with specific requirements for furniture, lighting, air conditioning, and electrical wiring. The client wanted the coffee shop to have a smart system for controlling the lights and door status, as well as a water drainage system.
Challenges
•Limited space within the 20-foot container for all the required equipment and furniture
•Ensuring proper electrical wiring and ventilation within the container
•Finding suitable materials for furniture and fixtures within the budget
•Developing a smart system for controlling lights and door status
Solution
The solution involved cutting a 6-meter long and 2.20-meter high single-walled container and installing an aluminum frame, glass, and sliding door. The container was furnished with custom-made MDF wood chairs, and used barrels were repurposed to make tables and a sink. The floor was carpeted, and the walls were made from the container's own body to save costs. GI pipes were used for wiring, and a 1.5-ton Super General AC was installed, along with power extensions and electrical outlets. The Fibaro smart system was used to control lights, with one-way vision stickers on the glass for a billboard view. The container was also equipped with a water drainage system and a Fibaro door system to display temperature and open/closed status.
